The following resources will provide you with information regarding policies and membership standards of Alpha Phi Omega, the National convention in December, and National Service Week. Eventually this portion will also include bylaw information and policies for the individual chapters as well as other resources from the National homepage so you don't have to dig, I have done it for you! :)

Responsibilities of Section Staff
 

Visit your chapters once a month...

  • Contact Brad before and after visit (so you and she can inform each other about what you are learning from chapter)
  • Be an observer 
  • Get a copy of their bylaws (please get me a copy of it too)
  • Look for strength of organization, enjoyment of programs
  • Leadership programs, Pledge program, Service program
  •  Introduce yourself—let them know you are a volunteer
  •  Interaction of advisors
  • Visit your chapter once a month either at a meeting, a service project, or at a fellowship event (attending a ritual is good, but sometimes it is hard to assess how the chapter communicates when they are being soo formal)
  • Identify the chapter’s goals and what they feel are its areas of improvements, and let me know so I can contact the appropriate resource for you
  • Utilize Region Resources
  • Encourage the use of CPPCs in your chapters
  • Encourage the chapters to turn in their paper work on time
  • Talk to them about attending National Convention....get them planning early
